The style of art of Arman Avetisyan /Brown Bread/
may be described as DECORATIVE SYMBOLISM.

The compositional and plastic design and color scheme of the subject amalgamate together the ancient origins of the world’s national cultures using the method of creative modernization.
By linking the rebus with handcraft, the works transform into peculiar carpets with encrypted messages reaching us through the depths of time: messages in which all the hieroglyphs and symbols, evolved for centuries, become part of a new distinctive system, conveying only their esthetic character and producing chaotic thoughts that merge into an ornamental pattern.
The combinations of primings and emulsions, acrylic and oil paints, Prince’s metal and nacre film, make the paintings produce inimitable relief and color play effects, fast and durable.

« Arman Avetisian’s distinct artistic individuality not only expresses itself as a masterfully embodied, once-found plastic design for the author’s allegorical interpretation of the poetic nature of existence, but compels the viewer to feel deeper and in its entirety the metaphoric nature of the Power of Time which brushes aside the earthly variability of day-to-day life, asserting the only one true Constant. The harmonious alloy of distinctly expressed and creatively treated national origins of painting and a philosophical interpretation of images born in throes allows us to say with confidence: yes, a new, distinctive name in the Great Art has been born ».
